RESCUE Diver Certification Course:
The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers.You will be be able to perform and provide rescue skills equivalent to lifegaurd and EMT levels.
Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
Prerequisite: PADI Advanced or Equivalent with 20 Dives
Minimum age:12 years old
Recommendations: Current CPR and First Aid (not required to be current before rescue)
Options: The Emergency First Responder w/ AED and O2 course is a highly suggested CPR/1st Aid Course.
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies.
During the five open water sessions, you'll cover:
- Self-rescues
- Diver stress and anxiety
- First Aid
- One and Two man CPR Review
- A.E.D. Review
- Emergency Management
- Swimming and Non-Swimming Assists
- Panicked Diver Response
- Underwater Problems
- Missing Diver Procedures
- Surfacing the Unconscious diver
- In water artificial respiration and egress (exits)
- First aid procedures for pressure related
accidents & accident scenarios
